Sydney’s final camp of the summer was at the Denver Zoo. She went for afternoons all week to learn about animals, make crafts, and do other activities. The bad news was that this was the hottest week of the whole summer so far. Each day was a 100 or more degrees. Not a good week to be outside. When Mom or I would pick her up, she was fried. On the way home, she usually ripped her shirt off and demanded McDonald’s with a big Sprite to cool off.
On the last day of camp, they had a show and Mom and Reagan got to go see the presentation. Lots of animals up close including a bird that had a unique trick to kill his lizard food. He would pick up this fake demo lizard and throw it at the ground over and over to kill it. Snap!
Everyday after camp, we would ask about the day and this is sort of the look we get. I mean we pay for this stuff…can’t parents hear about it?
