Due to an unexpected late night snow, the Easter Bunny left all the goodies inside this year. Time to find the eggs and basket!
Then we hit the road and headed up to Loveland, CO to a dude ranch where we would spend the day at their Easter extravaganza. When we walked in, this lady had her pet chicken in a basket. Seemed kind of strange but Sydney thought this was the coolest thing ever. The chicken even had 2 eggs it was keeping warm — and it didn’t try and peck your eyes out when you touched it. We might be getting a chicken…
Just before brunch, this nice clown transformed Sydney into a butterfly for the rest of the day!
Sydney, wanna do a sack race? NO WAY! So after the kids went once she was ready for a try. (I spent my day convincing kids to do things they didn’t want to do only to have them not want to stop after doing it once. Kill me now.) Check out this air!
It was time for the egg hunt. Here is Miss Butterfly out on the prowl. As it turns out, there was one golden egg. The kid who found it got a special prize. When we went back to the “turn in your eggs” place, Sydney learned some other girl got the golden egg. She immediately started crying about how she wanted the golden egg. Awkward.
Anybody wanna ride a horse?
Patiently waiting her turn!
Time to saddle up for the big ride. The cowboy (named Brandon) taught Sydney more about riding horses in 10 minutes that you probably know.
Here she learned how to turn. So they were zig zagging all around the ring.
Look at me!
Time to see what this horse has got! Cowboy Brandon (notice the weird stance) is running backwards and the horse begins to trot a bit. Sydney thought that was awesome and very “bouncy”. What a lesson!
When are we going back? Now we might be getting a horse and a chicken. Crap.
