Puppy That Grows Up In 4 Days
This was one of Sydney’s favorite Christmas gifts. She talked about it for weeks. How the puppy grows up in 4 days!!! Now, its full grown and she doesn’t talk about it so much. I guess I can hit reset and shrink it back down. So its kinda like a Transformer that transforms from a puppy to a dog? Lame. Trucks to robots is much cooler IMHO.

Coco No Butt
Dad made me go through all my Flickr photos and put titles on them all. So here is one I thought you might enjoy…

Say Cheese
Sydney got a kid digital camera for an early Christmas gift. So now instead of using her pretend camera, she will be taking random pictures for real. I will then take the photos and upload them to Flickr so you can see what a budding photographer she is becoming! If we get some interesting ones, we will cross-post them here too. So get on over to Flickr and check it out!

December Powder
New boots. New skis. This 4-year old is ready to ski! We just had to wait for some snow. Sydney kept asking when do we get to ski?!?!? We finally had enough to visit the slopes today. 9” of fresh powder — not that Sydney cared about that. She did pretty well. Picking up where she left off last year.
We constantly talk about not crossing your skis while we are sking. However, Sydney was confused when she noticed that these boys only had one BIG ski.
Sydney: Look at that…they can’t cross!
Dad: That’s a snowboard, honey.

Movin On Up
As part of Reagan’s move to a big girl bed, it was time to get Sydney out of the toddler bed. What kind of bed do you want, Sydney? That question took about 6 months. It was a bed with a slide, then a poster bed with curtains, then, then, then. Finally, we got the same answer twice in a row: the dollhouse bed. Buy it quick — before she changes her mind.
It arrived via freight delivery and I had to put it together. Where did I sign up for this? The thing nearly doesn’t fit. Its about 1” off the ceiling at its highest point.

So Reagan also loves this bed. She climbs up in it but hasn’t mastered getting down. So we hear her screaming for us and we go upstairs only to find she needs your services to get her down.
Sydney spent time decorating all the various nooks and we even put lights up in the top of the house now.

Sydney also decorated her tree all by herself this year! She was so proud.

Homemaker
Kim bought the girls a gingerbread house kit this year. I know this is going to turn into dog food once Dakota figures out how to get on the countertop. But for now…more holiday decorations!
