More Pictures
Well, Nana and Papa had to go home to my dismay. But here are just a few more pictures Nana took during her visit. Here are me and Reagan with our friends Kaitlyn and Brady. They are moving to Glenwood Springs in a week so we are very sad to see them go. They were super fun to play with.

We rode our bikes a lot for Nana and Papa. It was a good way to keep them entertained. Safety First!

Nana always likes to make my hair look super pretty and then make you pose for pictures. Here is one of the better shots.

Papa liked to sit on the back deck to read, sip his coffee and just enjoy the mountain views. Yeah right Papa, not with me around. You must be at my beckoned call to play whatever I want to at any moment. I don’t think he minded too much.

Cog Railroad
Today we drove down to Colorado Springs to take the cog railway up to the summit of Pikes Peak. This was my first train ride so I was so excited to see the train. I had a window seat and was able to point out all the creatures and other attractions for everyone.

Here’s a shot of one of the other trains we passed on the way up. At this point we were above tree line and were now in the marmot territory. Marmots looked like little beavers and were all around the train tracks. We also spotted a few long horned rams in this area.

Here are just some of the views along the way.

Here’s proof that we made it to the top.

Can you believe we even got Nana on the train?

Sunrise Stampede
Today was the local Sunrise Stampede in Longmont. Daddy was running in the 10K so we all went along to cheer him on. Daddy was having a little trouble with his form so I decided to help him with his warm-ups. Ready, Set, Go!

We ran a couple warm-up laps on the track together.

Since I was all warmed up we decided to walk the 2 mile version of the race. I rode in Bob most of the way but did run the final lap with Nana and Momma to pass the finish line on my very own.

Now it was time to watch Daddy cross the finish line. Please oh please let Daddy finish in good time.

It was so exciting to see Daddy run around the track on his final lap. As soon as he was done I went running to him for a big hug. Good job Daddy!

Nana and Papa
Nana and Papa are here for a visit and boy did we have a fun packed day. First, they had a chance to see Syd’s soccer practice. They were really impressed with how well Syd can follow the ball. I have to brag a little here and say that Sydney is definitely the star pupil of the class. The other Mom’s even complimented us on how athletic Sydney was.

But there is another reason behind Syd’s desire to do her best. Coach Adam!!! I think we can easily say Coach Adam is the object of Syd’s first crush. She follows him around giggling and is always trying to get his attention. Then when we got in the car she said she was going to marry Coach Adam. I hope Coach Adam doesn’t mind a super long engagement. Because this kid isn’t allowed to get married until she is at least 35.

Next Papa and Nana wanted to get wasted so we took them on a tour of the Coor’s factory. It is the largest brewery in the US. The tour itself wasn’t too impressive but at the end you were allowed tons of free samples which was pretty cool.

Finally, we went over to the visitor center at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Red Rocks is probably the most beautiful outdoor theatre you will ever see. These pictures probably won’t do it justice but here is one of the rocks surrounding the theatre.

The view down to the stage.

Sydney, Nana, and Daddy walked all the way down to see the stage where Syd got a chance to dance her Cinderella dance on the stage. How many people can say they have performed at red rocks?

On the walk back up Sydney got a feel for what it would be like to watch a show there. She agreed it would be a great show. Especially if it were a Cinderella show.

Summer Time Is Here
Summer is here and we are trying to spend more time outside when it isn’t too hot. If you have never been to Colorado in the summer you don’t know hot. The last couple of weeks have been in the upper 90’s, its a very dry heat, and with the altitude the sun just beats on you. So we lather on the sunscreen and save the outdoor time for the early mornings or evenings when the sun isn’t so hot. The rest of the day you can find us in the comfort of our trusty air conditioning. But, you can always drive with the top down to get a good breeze going to help cool you down.

Also this summer Sydney is going to her very first summer camp. Funshine Day Camp is held by the city and each week they have a different theme. Last week they learned all about different plants and flowers. They got to plant their very own garden to bring home and were allowed to run around and pick flowers, leaves and pinecones. When we dropped Syd off she was crying but when we picked her up she didn’t want to come home. I guess week one was a hit.
