You Take My Breath Away
After putting the Coburns on babysitting duty while we went and saw Star Wars, we finally decided to let them get out into the colorful country today. We drove up into the mountains and ended up in Frisco for some walking. C’mon, guys! Altitude getting to ya?
Later, Sydney got out of the stroller and decided she had to poo-ssh (Sydney speak) the stroller herself.
Enough city walking, let’s see some sights! Um, where are her shoes?
There…we went to the lake on Memorial Day weekend. I kept yelling “Ne Ne” to get Sydney to look at me. She wouldn’t…then she turned and pointed at her chest and yelled “I Ne Ne” to me. Snap. Got the picture.
On the way back to town, the Coburns climbed (out of the Hummer) this mountain for a pretty picture as the sun started to set. The city of Golden is down to the right.

Busy Day
Today was a very busy day for Sydney. First, Sydney showed her little sister how to play the piano. She was a very gentle and good teacher to Reagan.
Next, Mommy setup the sand and water table for Sydney. At first Syd was afraid to play in the water too much. She didn’t want to get wet. But, after about 2 minutes she was all into the table. The water is now full of sand and the sand is now soaking wet. Its cool to shovel water into the sand and the scoop up sand with the blue shell and dump it into the water. Best part is to wash your hands in the water when dirty. Very cool. And you get to wear cool hats.
Next Mommy put baby Reagan in the stroller for a walk. Sydney had her own baby in a stroller to walk as well, Cookie Monster. Cookie is becoming a favorite around here these days.
After all that work Syd was thirsty. Mommy gave Syd her first juice pouch ever to quench the thirst. Sshh!! Don’t tell Daddy. He thinks Syd is too messy to have a juice pouch in the house. But, I will be happy to tell you not a drop was spilled. Syd is a big girl now don’t you know.

Entertaining Guests
Today Sydney had her very first visit from Reagan at Ne Ne’s house. She is quite the entertainer. She has plenty of cool seating for all. She was very happy to welcome us in.
She was also very gracious in getting us all our very own rock as a souvenir. This is a Ne Ne’s house tradition for some odd reason.
But moods turned sour when Sydney insisted little Reagan be buckled into her carseat. That was the end of Reagan’s visit. Over all it was a great visit but we need to teach Sydney about not invading her guests personal space.

Happy Two Birthday
2 is one of Sydney’s favorite numbers. How appropriate because today is Sydney’s 2nd birthday! Last year on her one year birthday, we reflected on all the things Sydney had accomplished in one year. This year was no exception — plenty of great adventures and we enjoyed sharing them with all of you.

It was kinda windy out today but this was the birthday pose.
Afterwards, we went out on a Dora the Explorer mission.

Party With Papa
Carole, my dear mother, enjoyed a week of playing second class citizen to the almighty Papa. No matter how much Carole AKA “Na Na” did for Sydney, Papa was all the rage. We were all left confused over the attraction…but Papa felt he understood the bond.
Anyway, time for a little pre-Birthday party while Papa and Na Na were in town. Start with some cake — who else on the cake but Dora!
Blow! Sydney didn’t quite get it. Not the best wind power yet. Papa helped her out.
Mom picked up a few musical instruments that Sydney enjoys in her music class. However, this device quickly became a fashion statement.
We also got Sydney a broom. She always gets a lot of grass in Ne Ne’s house so we got her a way to keep it clean by herself.
The big present from Grandma and Grandpa was this deluxe tricycle. It has air-filled tires and all! Dad approves. We will get some pictures riding this baby in a few days.

Grandma and Grandpa Fuller came to gymnastics today. Sydney insisted that Papa must participate. (I don’t think he was planning on that.)

Hi Papa
Let’s just say Carole is getting annoyed. Sydney is all about Herb, I mean Papa. Whatever he does is cool or interesting. Where is he? If he isn’t around, its an emergency.
Sydney made sure that the Fuller quickly took her out to the swing set.

Staying Dry
Sydney got an umbrella from the Coburns. Now she must walk around with it in the house so she “no wet”.
