Date Night
Since Mom is needing some serious naps, we are trying to get out of the house for dinner. Now, Sydney sits on the other side of the table from me — guess I am not cool anymore or its just cool to sit by yourself.

Parachute
They had a parachute at gymnastics today that we played with. Syd freaked out when she walked on top of it while the group waved it up and down. However, she did like when we all went under it like a tent.

Pe Pe Tree
We got a visit from the Easter Bunny again this year. She did a fabulous job once again at decorating our trees with Easter eggs. Check out the Easter picture from last year. I think the bunny has definitely changed this year and somehow lost her ears. Sydney loves to look at the tree and calls it her “Pe Pe Ne Ne Tree.” Translation: Pretty Sydney’s Tree

After decorating was finished we had to move on to the real work. A gardener’s job is never done.

Easter Presents
Sydney got her first Easter delivery last night from Grandma and Grandpa Fuller. She was so excited to have something to unwrap. Though she did get very aggravated because she could not tear the foil paper, but we got over it. Thanks Papa and Grandma!

The New Baby Has Arrived!
The big arrival we have been highly anticipating at our house has finally come. Dora’s Momma had a baby!!! Syd has been anxiously awaiting the new baby for several weeks now and is so excited that her idol, Dora, is now a big sister. We watch this episode at least twice a day now to see the Be-Be. I think the writers didn’t want to upset anyone so they gave Dora twins, a boy and a girl, a little lame if you ask me. Oh, and we got even more news on the new arrivals this afternoon….the twins are superheroes. They can fly and have all sorts of superpowers, including a supercry. This seems like a bit of a stretch for me. But, I dare not question Dora.

Go Pee Pee
We are slowly trying to get Sydney used to the potty. We have the small one that she uses herself but now and then, she just likes to sit on the big throne.

It Begins
I felt sorry for Sydney today. She just got back from her first day of school! She has about 20 years of it to go. I remember my last day of school and I wouldn’t trade that for the world. Sydney’s journey has just begun.
So as Kim reported, she enrolled Sydney in a one day a week program. She ended up in a class with boys and girls through the luck of some other dropouts. When Kim picked Sydney up, she could hear Sydney playing from down the hall. She was the life of the class. She played with lots of toys, they took a walk, and she made whatever the hell this thing is.

Moments after this picture, Sydney started to throw a “I am exhausted” fit and we put her to bed. She slept the whole afternoon. So did Kim as a matter of fact.

Nap Time
Daddy decided today that we should try to make Sydney take her nap in her new big girl bed instead of the crib. So, we put her in her room. We heard her playing for a good 30 minutes and then all was quite. Yes, naptime in her big bed works as well. So, Mommy took a nap and about an hour later decided to go check in on Syd. This is where we found her. Dead asleep in her baby doll bed. She must have decided that her new bed was just a little too spacious. Oops, I think our laughter woke her up.

Caught in the Act
Momma was on the phone ordering more basement crap when I walked in on this serious nude dancing show. Hmmm, something is definitely going on here because Syd is way too happy and definitely trying to hide something. And wait, she did have pajamas on a few minutes ago. So, I take a walk around the house looking for the evidence. There it was, Syd had decided her tiger chair needed to be colored red as well as the glass coffee table, rug, slate floor, and her pajamas. She had apparently taken off her pj’s to hide the evidence. Then when I asked her about tiger chair she yelled “Oh, no…Ouchie Nose,” as if she didn’t know how that got there. She is quite the little con artist, too bad she was caught in her celebration dance.
Anyway, here are a couple rules we have estalished for just this occasion.
#1 - Only buy washable crayons/markers
#2 - Make kid clean up her own mess (hence the second picture)

Big Bed
She did it! We waited a few days to be sure it was not a fluke, but we are proud to announce that Sydney is in her own bed now. I had put her in bed with her 1,000 stuffed animals and her light and her music box and said good night. 10 minutes later she was standing in our room. She reached up to me and said “hot dog” and handed me a (play food) hot dog on a plate with a fork. Her play kitchen is in her room until the basement is complete. I said thanks and she left. Kim and I kept listening for her but we were watching a TV show and kinda forgot about her. About 40 minutes later, we asked “is she asleep”? We tip toed in there and to our amazement — she was! All covered up clutching Ta Ta.
We were also afraid that she might get up eariler. Not so far. Today she woke up at 10 AM! So the bed is working out nicely. We are a little ahead of schedule but that is OK with us. Now I can start worrying about the time when she comes into our room in the middle of the night and I punch her in the head because I think she is a robber.
Here is Sydney about 2 minutes after she woke up this morning.

You’re In Trouble
At gymnastics class, they have a big foam pit that you can play in. Well today, like each week, I put Sydney in it. Usually I kinda let her jump into it but this week I swung her out into the middle of the pit. Her feet started coming up higher and she ended up landing on her back mostly which caused her to bounce and land head first in the blocks. Now, normally this would be funny but while I was watching it happen, I was saying to myself “oops”.
So there she was with only her feet sticking out of the foam blocks. No head to be seen — but you could hear of course. Wa wa. So I jumped in and got her upright and boy did I get an earful. No, no, Da Da. Over and over. She climbed out of the pit and ran to her teacher and held her like she holds her Mommy when something bad happens.
So there I sat in the foam pit — the bad Daddy. But I figure Tiger Wood’s Dad made that kid cry a few times also look how he ended up — at least that is what I will tell the child protection agency people.

Slackers
Sorry that we haven’t been giving you your fix lately. Mom fell down and that put us all in a pinch for a few days. Here are some random photos that you can develop your own witty captions for.

Wa Wa Daw
Since some of you might see Sydney in the next few months, I thought we should start Sydney language class. So what does the title of this post mean? This is a quiz. Sydney says this about 100 times a day.
