Catch Up

We are back home again and as you can see Syd missed Ti-Ti so much that she had to body slam him at first sight. In this photo she is also sporting her new birthday outfit from her boyfriend CJ. Notice the very sporty belt. Syd spent the first 20 minutes trying to pull it off but now thinks it is very cool to have something around her waist. Thanks CJ, Syd says you have a very good sense of fashion.

Here Syd is playing with her Care Bear play set from Aunt Steph and the boys. Syd spends most of her time trying to sit the Care Bear on the merry-go-round. This task is so difficult that it causes her to groan loudly and perform the “Fuller squint” with all the concentration. Notice the matching Care Bear outfit, very appropriate.

Lastly, Syd had her one year old doctor appointment a couple of weeks ago. Here are all the usual stats for those of you keeping track. She weighed in at 18 lbs 12.5 ounces which puts her at the 15th percentile. Her length was 29 3/4 inches which puts her at the 75th percentile in length. They said she has settled into her own curve now and will probably continue at this rate for the next couple of years. She also got two more shots and is scheduled to go back in at 15 months for several more of the tougher shots. They even suggested we drug her up before the next visit because those shots will really hurt. 🙁

Hi, Syd! Papa and I took Christian to Cracker Barrel this morning to get some Fruit Loops and dinosaur eggs (raisins). You’ll have to try them sometime. Christian is watching Barney on TV and saying, “Where he go?” Wish you were here.

Big girl, Sydney. You’re 12 1/2 ounces bigger than Mom at one year and one 1/2 inch taller. So, even if you’re only at the 15th percentile you’re bigger than Mom. LOVE GRANDMA HAKES!

Syd, you look so cute in your care bears outfit. I cant wait to see you, we miss you! Love Aunt Jamie

Hey, Miss Syd, Papa and I just came back from the beach and everywhere we went, we kept saying “Oh, the grandkids would love this!” The Gulf water is 82 degrees. You would enjoy taking a swim today. Can’t wait to get back home and see you.

    Hugs and kisses…Grammie
