Daddy’s Birthday
Today was Daddy’s Birthday. He took me up into the mountains and got us stuck in the snow. I hung out with Grandma until we got free.

I Want A Pony
What is the deal with Grandmas showing Sydney horses? Man, if she starts asking for a pony — I am in trouble.

Nugget Fan
Tonight, we took Grandma & Grandpa Fuller to a Denver Nuggets game. Prior to this season, the Nuggets were not exactly popular around here. But this year is a different story. Sydney was right at home — this was the one place that she could sit around and scream and it was actually what she was supposed to be doing!

Grandma gave Sydney some sort of futuristic lightning nook about 1/2 way through the game. This was a big hit!

Too Many Toys
As Grandma and Mom tried to cook the Thanksgiving meal, this is how the baby was kept busy.

Grandma Likes Pictures
When Grandma comes to visit Sydney, we have to spend 1/2 of each day taking pictures it seems.

Lunch Time
I flew back early this morning from California to have lunch with Sydney and talk about what she did while I was away. As you can tell, she missed me a lot.

Exterminator Please!
Syd had her 6-month checkup last week and wouldn’t you know it those darn bees were back. This time we got stung three times in the leg which even made her bleed. Needless to say, we are not trusting that doctor anymore. Here are the usual stats for all you asking about how big Syd is getting. Weight was 15 lb 10.5 oz which places her at the 50th percentile. Length was 26.5 inches which puts her at the 75th percentile. I know you cannot tell by pictures but Syd is one long skinny baby. She must take after Mommy. :)

Here I Come
Syd has mastered one new goal this week, the army crawl. We have been attempting this feat for a couple of weeks but now have it down pat. Our favorite thing to crawl to is, of course, dog bones. When Mommy leaves the room Syd can now follow. But, she is very slow because she can’t yet lift the belly off the floor. Last night, I left her in the family room while doing laundry. In a couple of minutes, she was at Dad’s office. That’s a good distance for those of you who don’t know our house. Guess we better get baby proofing.

Rocky Mountain National Park
Well, Sydney was asleep in the car and you all know the one thing that you don’t do is wake a sleeping baby. So here are the grandparents minus the grandchild. Long’s Peak in the distance.

Cracker Barrel Folks
The Chairman and First Lady of the Cracker Barrel arrived last night. Guess where they went for dinner? Yep. Here is the Chairman pictured with Sydney and the limited edition Cracker Barrel Beanie Baby.

Grandma Coburn brought Santa with her as well. I did not find this very funny. Let me explain. I arrived home at midnight after my flight. Walking around a dark house and trying to be quiet, I saw this silhouette of someone sitting on the couch. Needless to say, it freaked me out.

Half Birthday
As of today, Sydney is 0.5 years old in Dad-speak and 6 months in Mom-speak. Mothers talk in months, you know. A lady we ran into the other day told me that her child was 23 months old. Why do they do that? Isn’t 2 years old close enough that you couldn’t just say that? Oh well.
We took Sydney to the mall to celebrate the day. She enjoyed it as you can tell.

Grocery Shopping
Dad is playing with his new camera phone. More pictures from more weird places coming.

Sink Bath
A few weeks ago, Mom moved to bathing Syd in the sink. I finally got a picture of it. Sydney is playing with a pumpkin washrag from Grandma Carole. It expands when it hits water — or saliva.
