Permalink Man Boob

Today was the first successful use of the man boob, as Dad likes to call it.  Previous attempts resulting in a very pissed child.  Today, she was hungry enough that she fell for it and drank it dry.  She stared at the ceiling fan the whole time — which is a bonus because when feeding with Mom, she stares at the back of the chair.  So Fuller Grandparents, this is your tutorial.  Follow the pictures.  Milk is in the freezer.  Mom & Dad will be back later — deaf.

Permalink Ouch

Sydney had another visit to the doctor today.  She ended up getting 4 shots in her leg.  Those didn’t go over well.  The way it was told she was sitting on the doctor’s table sucking on her pacifier looking around.  They prick her and her eyes go wide open.  Pacifier out.  Lungs expand and she screams like something is killing her.  Then when finished they put band-aids on them to make it cute I guess.  Sydney didn’t enjoy having those peeled off either.

Permalink I’m Driving

Sydney had the pleasure of going with Dad as he bought his new toy on Saturday. When we got home, we shot some video of Sydney with the keys to the new toy, or so she thinks. We also took pictures of Sydney with Dad but they will not be posted because Dad was not looking so hot — because it was hot.  Its been over 100 each day here! So anyway, check out the new video. For those of you that keep claiming that you cannot see the video, you have to download Windows Media Player. There is a big button on the video page. If you can’t figure it out, contact your resident geek.

Today, Mom & Sydney got into it and Mom decided that Dad had to take Sydney outside. So it took 2 months until Mom got frustrated. But Sydney wasn’t happy doing anything but moving today so that is what we tried to keep doing. We think she is ready to start doing stuff but she isn’t quite physically there. You can see the frustration in her eyes when she tries to rollover and can’t quite get it. Its coming.

We also learned that Sydney’s Great Grandma Fuller — MiMi, to those in the know — will be coming to visit at the end of the month with the Fuller Grandparents.

Permalink Just Being A Baby

Not much exciting this week in the life of Sydney.  Mostly been at home.  She has been kind of a cry baby this week for some reason.  Still sleeping in the crib.  Doing great here.  Maybe some more pictures this weekend if we can find a new position, outfit, or pose.

Permalink Big Girl x2

So there were two achievements in the last 24 hours.  First, “Big Girl” Sydney slept in her own bed for the first time all night long.  Mom slept in the room next door with an ear to the door but it went well.  Hopefully, she understands that we want her to sleep in there and we do not want to disturb her.  Its ironic that later in life, all you want to do is get some good rest with nobody bothering you but when you are a baby you cry about it.  Anyway, you should be able to catch her on the webcam now in the early AM as light comes into the room.  Grandma Fuller caught her in the crib the other day napping — the wonders of technology.

Then, this morning, Syd was hanging out on the bed with us and she did a pretty good rollover move.  I might call a technicality because Mom was on the bed next to her making it slightly downhill but oh well.  She will have it soon.  The arm on the bottom is the problem right now.  She hasn’t figured out how to move it out of the way.

Both of these events caused Mom and Dad to diverge on our Sunday errands to Babies ‘R Us and pick up a couple toys.  One, she is just growing into but she really enjoys the opportunity to sit up straight instead of laying down now and then.  The other fun thing was walking around the store with our baby in hand, while the clueless parents walk around the store with their price scanners filling out there baby registries and feeling overwhelmed.  That was us about 9 months ago.  Ah, how time flies….

Here are some pictures of me and my new toys.  Notice the beautiful quilt in the first picture — my Grandma Fuller bought (well, ripped off) this from a quilt lady here in Colorado for me.

Permalink Its July Already

Well, I have now experienced the start of my 3rd month (May, June, July) in this world.  How quickly time passes.  My next vistors are not coming until the end of the month.  The Fuller Grandparents are coming back to babysit me while Mom & Dad take the day off.  BTW, my Mom is going to start making me sleep in my crib soon so all you folks will be able to check me out in the mornings when you get up and I am still asleep.
